What’s New in YayMail 4.0

Howdy! Ready to jump into the brightest summer? And just like you might be refreshing your wardrobe or travel plans, we’ve been refreshing something special for your WooCommerce store: YayMail 4.0 is now live!

This major update is like a cool breeze on a hot day—bringing a smoother experience, better design tools, and easier ways to style your store emails. If you’re already using YayMail, you’ll notice the new look and better performance. If you’re new, there’s never been a better time to jump in.

So, what’s new in YayMail 4.0? And how does it improve over previous versions? Grab an iced coffee, and let’s take a walk through what’s new.

New Admin Layout for A Cleaner and More Intuitive Interface

Let’s start with the first thing you’ll notice when you open YayMail: everything looks and feels simpler.

On the dashboard of YayMail, we gave the whole interface a makeover! Now you have a panel with a powerful navigation bar. With the previous version, we just directly accessed email templates to customize.

This tab displays a complete list of all email templates available on your site. You can perform bulk actions to manage your templates more efficiently.

Before: YayMail had a solid and intuitive drag-and-drop editor, but the interface was largely static and required multiple clicks to access basic settings.

Now: YayMail 4.0 introduces a streamlined interface with faster loading times, a responsive layout. Also, it adds some reusable design blocks, customization options, and the ability to review or revert changes. We’ve reduced clutter and redesigned key panels to help you design emails more efficiently.

As you can see on the interface, the right side features the Upper Toolbar and the Email Template Preview. On the left panel, users will find essential tools including Elements, Patterns, Settings, and View History.

Reuse with Ease: Global Header and Footer

Tired of recreating the same email header or footer over and over? Say hello to Global Header/Footer blocks in YayMail 4.0!

You can now design your email’s top and bottom sections once and apply them across all your templates.

On the dashboard of YayMail, you have a separate layout to customize.

YayMail allows you to add all essential elements to the header/footer, such as your logo, contact information, or social media links, across all order emails from a single place.

The newly designed globals, such as header and footer, can be used in all extra email templates created by other workflows or third-party extensions like AutomateWoo, Woo Subscriptions, and so on.

Speed Up Your Design with Pre-Made Patterns

Why start from scratch when you can build faster with beautifully crafted patterns?

With the Pro version, YayMail 4.0 introduces Pre-Designed patterns – a set of ready-to-use layout sections designed. Just pick a pattern, drop it into your template, and customize as needed.

In addition, you can create and save your own custom designs to the Library. Then, you can reuse these blocks quickly.

Recipient(s) Visibility for Each Template

As a WordPress user, you will easily misunderstand and edit the wrong template when the old version of YayMail didn’t show exactly who would receive a specific WooCommerce email. 

YayMail 4.0 now shows you recipient visibility directly in the template list view. You’ll now see whom the email is sent to, which plugins trigger it, and the last updated date right beside the template name.

This small detail adds a big breeze of clarity to your template management!

Migration Tool to Transfer Data from Older Versions to YayMail 4.0

Worried about moving from YayMail 3.x to the brand-new 4.0? Don’t be! With our built-in Migration Tool, you can upgrade (or even roll back) without missing a beat.

In the Settings tab of YayMail, we now have a new feature called Migration. This tool is designed to help you transfer data between different YayMail versions, ensuring compatibility whether you’re upgrading to the latest version or rolling back to a previous one.

Not only that, you can store a list of backup versions, and you will easy to restore your templates to a specific older version if needed.

See It As You Build: Live Email Preview in the YayMail Builder 4.0

No longer check the email preview on the customized dashboard, now YayMail provides the Preview Email tab for WordPress users. 

This tab allows you to instantly visualize how your email templates will appear to recipients. You can select different WooCommerce email types from the dropdown (e.g., New Order, Completed Order) and choose a sample order to preview with real dynamic data populated. This helps you verify that all placeholder variables render correctly.

Thanks to the new preview mode, you can quickly check personalized details such as coupons used in an order in the confirmation email.

Developer API: Embed Dynamic Data with Full Flexibility

In earlier versions, third party plugin developers couldn’t insert their own hook into the YayMail templates.

Now, YayMail 4.0 introduces a powerful Developer API – designed to let you insert custom dynamic data into your email templates like never before. 

By adding the YayMail Integration Demo mini-plugin, YayMail API gives you the tools to personalize and automate WooCommerce emails.

You can take this mini-plugin from the documentation of YayMail.

Once installed, you will see a new email template, a new element, and a new shortcode.

In the customized dashboard, the user will have a new element in YayMail that looks like this.

This feature is perfect for agencies and developers who need scalability without sacrificing control.

View All Shortcodes & Elements in Each Template

Previously, YayMail showed all the shortcodes in the list, which could cause errors when the user used a shortcode that was not supported in that template.

To make the user experience even better, YayMail will now only show the available shortcodes and elements that you can use in a template right in that template.

Note that you can also use your custom shortcode within YayMail Builder anytime!

Undo & Redo Feature Are Now Free to Enjoy

With YayMail 4.0, both Undo and Redo buttons are now available in the free version, giving you full creative freedom without the fear of making a mistake.
